Making it easy for Muslim Travellers

On October 18, 2022 the Islamic Tourism Centre of Malaysia invited our team to share our insights and tips on how to engage modern Muslim travelers and tourists in this era of social media. Ariel Koh, our FFF Media Co-Founder who heads Malaysia Food and Travel (MFT) spoke on stage and shared her passion for food, travel and how all of those elements can attract tourism. Made especially unique, this talk focused on Halal travel, so that Muslims around the world can be informed of places to check out. With travelers becoming more reliant on technology and turning into online resources to make their travel decisions, some experts came to share their insights. We were happy to share ours, as well as hear other businesses, influencers and consultants share their observations and statistics about Halal Tourism.

The 3rd World Islamic Tourism Conference was held on 17^th – 19^th October 2022 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur. It was well attended and well moderated all throughout.

Halal Food and Travel Dream

We hope that our sharing will enlighten the businesses and individuals who attended that day. Our HALAL FOOD AND TRAVEL pages are growing steadily and we hope to make Muslim travel friendlier and easier, especially around Malaysia. The dream we have is to empower Muslims from all over the world, to share the places that safe and great for them. In our small way, we hope to contribute to the post-Covid world, in updating the latest places, hotels, attractions and food heaven that Muslim tourists can visit.

Other Countries Classifying Halal for Tourism

We also learned that day that other countries have classified and marketed so well their Halal as well as Muslim-friendly places, to make it easy to identify for their tourists. Places like Korea have done well in making it easier for travelers to identify suitable places by implementing different classifications such as: Muslim-owned, Halal Certified, Halal-Friendly or Muslim-Friendly.
